Long distance voice actors?
So I have just acquired my first long distance voice actress (i.e. Sends me the recordings rather than me physically coming over with a mic and a laptop), and I'm wondering how others have dealt with it. Are notes on the script with time stamp references enough or should I be directing the actor using skype/discord?

Always live direct. 99.9% of the time you wont be getting the inflection or emphasises that you want from just letting your VA read the script.

RE: Long distance voice actors?
Live-direct whenever possible. For major roles or for inexperienced VAs, I always live-direct. For minor roles with VAs I trust, I let them have at it and only come back if I have major qualms.

You are what you put your time into.
